To ThermaSAVE Worldwide
My husband and I recently went thru a 7.0 earthquake in Alaska with over 5,000 aftershocks and counting. My home was built by Thermasave in 1984 and we are still living it. There have been many benefits over the years of our panel home but I wanted to let you know after experiencing the aftershocks in other traditionally built homes and buildings and feeling them in my panel built home there is no comparison! Just a few of the things I have noticed over the last couple of weeks since the 7.0 earthquake.
1. The sound and impact are far less reaching compared to a traditional built home.
2. After the 7.0 earthquake, I saw many pictures on social media showing cabinets emptied, furniture turned over etc. In my home there was very minimal upset and we had everything cleaned up and put away in about half and hour. I know some, two weeks later who are still cleaning up.
3. I have no cracks or structural damage 4. I also learned that in my home I did not feel an aftershock unless it was at least a 4.7 magnatude or greater. One evening I had a friend over visiting and we had an aftershock and she ask me how big I thought it was, we checked and it was a 4.8, she then looked at me and said, that’s not what they feel like in my house!
I just wanted to let you know that I am very proud to live in a panel home and during this time in Alaska I feel safer in my home than anywhere else in Alaska.
Thank you Thermasave!!
